GRAMMY Awards 2017: Black Prophet’s Album Up for Consideration

The nominations process for the 2017 GRAMMY Awards is in the second phase and Stonebwoy’s ‘Livingstone’ EP as well as Black Prophet’s ‘Stories of Life’ album made the consideration list.
This was made known by VP Music LLC, a digital & physical distribution services that submitted the separate albums on behalf of the Ghanaian musicians and others in the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category.
For a musician to be finally nominated in the category, there will be another vote for the top five (5) placement.
Both Stonebwoy and Black Prophet will face a stiff competition from Emeterians (The Journey), Mr. Vegas (This is Dancehall), Freddie McGregor (True To My Roots), Beenie Man (Unstoppable), Iba Mahr (Diamond Sox), Chaka Demus (Positive Vision), Israel Vibration (Play It Real) and more.
When voted for, it will be the second time Ghanaian musician(s) has/have been in the category following Rocky Dawuni‘s nomination during the 58th edition of the prestigious awards ceremony.
The final list of nominees will be announced on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 – the same the the “pre-telecast” ceremony or the Premiere Ceremony will be held.
The 59th annual GRAMMYs will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
